For 50 years, LIBIS has been providing IT solutions for the management and accessibility of library, archive and museum collections of KU Leuven and a network of external partners. With a diverse team of about 30 people such as consultants and project managers, developers, web designers, software architects ... our mission is to offer open, efficient, innovative and sustainable applications in consultation with our partners.
At LIBIS, we have been gaining experience with data processing and conversions for 50 years, and we have already migrated many libraries to our systems. We can provide assistance with preparing data migration to Alma: normalizing (to be in sync with Alma indexes), matching (related to NZ context) and conversion of data.
We are the system administrator for more than thirty institutions and have threfore gathered a solid knowledge of the comprehensive Alma system. We can assist you with Alma and Primo setup and cloud app development, as well as with both external and API integrations to these systems.
LIBIS was one of Alma's four development partners and has migrated more than 80 libraries from some 30 institutions to Alma in a timely manner. Based on this experience, we can help our current and future partners to guide similar and larger projects.
Our assistance includes advising in Alma and Primo setup, and covers your Alma/Primo project from A toZ: from defining and refining planning and indication of milestones, tasks and responsibilities, to the further ollow-up of the project once it is running smoothly.
At LIBIS, we value highly that the systems used are clear and straightforward for everyone using them. Therefore, we invest in monthly training for new Alma users and organize workshops on new functionality on a regular basis.
Tailored to your needs and experience level, these trainings can consist of a general overview and introduction to Alma and Primo or be a technical (e.g. about API's) or topic-specific training about analytics, resource management, fulfilment etc. Either way, we aim to offer hands-on support via the inclusion of use cases in these sessions.
